My post-vacation bank account and recent student loan have lead me to make a drastic decision. I, Steph, cannot purchase any knitting-related items until June is over. No yarn, no needles, no patterns, no gadgets. boo hoo.
I have enough projects on the go that I could knit all summer and I have enough yarn in the stash to make stuff for about a year (at least) so this shouldn't be hard. I just have to stop surfing the yarn sites. My only likely source of temptation is the new Knitty due out soon. I know I can resist since my birthday is July 2nd (hence the one month fast--a girl needs a birthday present!)
I've been working away on my errant method chapter and I'm close to being done. I have a few things to add here and there and a bit of editing but it's almost ready to hand in for comments. I'll be happy to have some feedback on my work since I feel a bit lost right now.
I did manage to sneak in some knitting today too. I did the holey-bit on sitcom chic and it looks good. I might get to finish this on the weekend. With the weather being "below seasonable" I'll be able to wear it too.

My kids missed me so much they gave me their cold.
Lucky me. I have a wickedly sore throat and I don't feel like working. But, I do feel like knitting. I attached the sleeves for sitcom chic last night and I am anxious to finish the cardigan. The weather in Toronto has been unseasonably cool and I could use the cardigan.
Here's what I got from Threadbear yesterday. The yarn is Cascade 220, colour 9451 and Cascade Fixation, colour 9989.
I'm going to use the green (the colour is too light here) with this purple Cascade (9345) from the stash to make the felted backpack designed by Two Old Bags (great name!)
...after I finish sitcom chic (remember I am trying to avoid stress by having too much on the go).

We had a wonderful trip. The resort was great, the beach was gorgeous, the ocean was beautiful. I'm rested, tanned, happy. I knit part of a sock on the plane on the way to Cancun. Security in Toronto airport had a good look at my bag x-ray, but that was it. Once we landed I didn't touch the knitting again. On the way home I was too drunk/tired to bother.
I haven't done much knitting since my return either. My sock it progressing a bit (I knitted in the car when we went to get the kids), and I'm working on the second sleeve for sitcom chic. I need to clear up some of my works in progress before I start anything new (my order from Threadbear is at the post office, so I must avoid temptation).
I'm in a post-vacation simplifying my life spree and I don't want to be cluttered with mulitiple projects (not just knitting ones). Then I might not be so stressed by the time my next vacation comes along.
Since I don't have any knitting photos, here's one of the beach:
